AREN'T WE RACISTS ?

Word "racist" found new meaning in every generation but the most worse of its effect were on blacks and jews . As history is full of instances where blacks and brown skinned people were purchased as slave , as if they were some commodity.
Hitler proved to be the nightmare of world ."The holocaust" ( killing of mass population of jews in gas chambers ) is the bloodiest chapter of human history.
No country on earth is untouched by some sort of racism . Whether it is about colour , race or culture of people. in some way or the other we all are racists. isn't it true?
The definition of racism says it's :

1.a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.
3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.

Now understand this definition word by word , and you would agree that in some way or the other we all are part of same crowd.
India is no exception to this.
we refer to citizens in Bihar as "these biharis" or bihari babu and to citizens in Uttar pradesh we refer to them as u.p ke bhaiye and to eastern states we refer as chinky town or chinkies , all these remarks are evidence of racism in India.
forget this! take colour for that matter , in India still the dark skinned are not preffered for marriage . We ourselves choose fair people. All this develops an inferiority complex among people, compelling them to buy all sorts of medication or cosmetics that they believe would help them get fair colour. Whats bad in being dusky tone? shouldn't we be proud of individual's intellectual achievements rather than focusing on his /her colour or race or culture.
Advertising industry is now making so many ad's that, i somewhat consider racist as why should a girl apply 100's of cream on her face to get fair . Isn't she beautiful the way she is? why someone's lust to look at beautiful girls or boys has to be the headache of someone.
All this hinders in person's intellectual growth.
love whats beneath the skin of any person you meet because face is no guarantee that person is good or bad .
Many dark tone or dusky tone people are making fortune in their respective careers. Take serials or films for that matter . Putting cream won't change someone's genes and we are not animals that we should be considering our breeding .
Eastern girls face all kinds of obscene remarks about them , i don't think it's written on anyone's face that they are available for flirting and moreover why anyone's facial recognition has to be trademark of something? why does the culture or race of someone has to be characterized with one word?
People try to feel important than others by making the racist remarks and it's our attempt to feel superior to someone ,whether or not we are intellectually dumb than most of the crowd around us.
Anti - racist laws cannot work on this level. Nothing can force anyone to change his/her mind.
One does not feel the pain of others and we can never be a good judge of man's character .
So next time you refer to anyone with any racist remark think carefully because you might be unintentionally hurting someone's mental peace .
There's no greatness in criticizing others . i would love to end this blog by this quote

"Racism is an ism to which everyone in the world today is exposed; for or against, we must take sides. And the history of the future will differ according to the decision which we make. -Ruth Benedict "

Yes after reading this I can say we are racist.you made few points which are very true and we do that in our daily life.I guess we first need to lookinto our country before saying anyone Racist.I am really impressed by the point you made that we ourself differentiate Indians calling Bhiaris, bhayia's and most often any East Indian's as Chinky which we should stop. I will provide you my Extensive support to spread across this article and create awareness about what we are doing knowingly or unknowningly. ------- Vaibhav

Are we really racist…??? I call my Bihari friend ‘D Bihari’… but do I realty mean it… or will it change his faith in his birth land…. NO
I will obviously choose a gori chamdi then a black one given the same background for my sister’s hand, what would you do… I think you will do the same… hmmm… some questions can never be answered… some things are embedded in DNA’s… my little bro (six months old) cries when he is in my black faced uncle’s hand … His mom didn’t teach this to him… He does this because he has this in born tendency to get attracted towards beautiful things and getting repelled by disgusting things (no offence to you… oops)…

there are exceptions and hights.. I wont debate about that

What ever it is, but I appreciate your effort to bring this to people’s conscience, though they cant change there DNA settings, but they can control some stuff deep within themselves then to make vulgar and inflammatory remarks …
…again… hats off
